GENERALFUNCTION: 

Makes decisions on complex architecture issues. Coordinates withusers to determine requirements and design systems to fit their needs. Ensuressystem improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increaseefficiency.

DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Responsible andaccountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevatingconcerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined.Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, andensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. Achieves results by consistentlyidentifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

1. Plays a keyrole as the technical solution architect for various projects, especiallystrategic projects for the bank. 

2. Plays therole of an Evangelist to socialize solution designs and the value ofarchitecture to solve complex problems.

3. Responsiblefor producing solution architecture artifacts and deliverables. Leads andparticipates in solution architecture reviews in an iterative fashion to achieveoptimal designs.

4. Documents architecture decisions and why those decisions were made.

5. Acts as atechnical expert addressing problems relating to systems integration,compatibility, and multiple platform integration.

6. Keepscurrent with trends and technological innovations in the ITindustry, and makes appropriate development recommendations.

7. Activelyparticipates in architecture forums to present new thoughts and ideas as well asprovide feedback on others’ topics.

8. Partnerclosely with infrastructure architects, engineers, developers and othertechnical resources.

9. Interactsand consults with appropriate business analysts to understand applicationrequirements and defines architectural components to meet those requirements.

10. Developsarchitectural plans and roadmaps supportive of the business objectives.

11. Documentsarchitecture appropriately and consistently within the defined architecturalprocess.

12. Ensures forrealistic and tactical solutions.

13. Negotiatespriorities and resolves conflicts among stakeholders and project team(s.)

Education &Experience:

• Undergraduate Degree or higher
• 10+ years of experience in IT preferably from an IT development background. 5 years or more of that experience as a Solution/Application Architect
• Experience with Java/JEE type of environment in enterprise scale projects
• Experience with various integration technologies (API Management, ESB, Messaging, etc.)
• Experience with web and mobile solution architectures
• Experience with Cloud technologies, esp Salesforce, AWS, Azure
• Experience with BPM, Cognitive Computing and Big Data (Hadoop, NoSQL) type of technologies is a big plus
• Experience in decomposing monoliths to microservices based cloud native application(s)
• Effective written, verbal, presentation and listening skills
